First off i have to say YOU GO AMY… So many things going through my mind.. FIrst off I LOVE and ADORE Luke and his family. I believe it is sooo unfair that there has been nothing for 6 months. There were crimes committed that night and there needs to be accountability for them. I agree with Amy that there are ALOT of in Denial parents out there that believe when their child says " I haven' t done drugs, and I don't associate with people who do". I believed that from my son until i caught him and his friend. I was heart broken but woken up. He is a wonderful, sweet, loyal, fun, loving, athletic, beautiful soul and so does that mean if he is in the wrong place at the wrong time and there happens to be drugs involved that his life wasn't worth a full investigation as any other death and the people involved shouldn't be held accountable. Im very involved in my sons life at his sporting events ect kids and his friends tell me everything.. MOST kids now a days have experimented with something and mostly pot.. They are getting it from their peers ones who have turned 18 and a dr has given them a Med card. then they sell it to your son. My son has been offered drugs in the halls starting in middle school, at football games, dances, by older peers ever since he was in middle school, now how is that not the schools responsibility its on school grounds. There are drugs exchanging hands in the hallways, bathrooms, fields, and even probably the classroom. There are kids who get caught but because they are an athlete or something the school just gives them a slap on the wrist. I believe the school turns a blind eye a lot of the time. I now randomly drug test my son and he has passed every time since. I thank God that I caught him myself so I could get it under control. I know there will be some kids of course who never try drugs but that is a slight few.. as for Clariece it is very naive of you to think your children haven't tried anything.. just you saying that is a victory for them. It enrages me that because drugs were involved that Lukes life doesn't deserve the same respect as lets say Chelsea, or again any death for that matter. There is a HUGE PROBLEM parents and something needs to happen before another tragedy like Luke happens. I know many parents who I know 100% their child is engaging in some kind of illegal activity and they are in such denial that it sickens me. They believe every word their child tells them.. they are Teens they will lie.. and they will tell you what you want to hear. Even the best of kids will still be kids.. and they make mistakes. The Authorities working on this case need to make this a priority we aren't going to stop stirring the pot until justice for Luke is served .So by letting these boys walk the hallways, go to parties, hang with their friends, and have no accountability for that night is just breeding a bunch of kids who think they are invincible and can get away with a crime. I cant believe the parents of the two other boys. I mean one of those boys got away with killing another person and their parents are covering up for them. There was more than one crime committed that night and something needs to be done about that and I am behind the Lipscombs until the end.
